Is SafeLedger legit?
Be careful. HasTrust rates SafeLedger Caution (38/100), checked 2026-10-22: safeledger.tech says its software is free, open source and publicly reviewable; A GitHub repository is linked (github.com/MieleMadness/SafeLedger) so the code can be inspected; The software is described as offline cold storage using AES-256 encryption, with no install needed and the ability to run from USB.
Our own checks on safeledger.tech found reasons for care: the site does not use HTTPS: data you enter is not encrypted. That is not proof of fraud, and nothing we measured proves deception. If you order, pay with buyer protection (a credit card or PayPal).
We reserve High risk for proof of deception: imitating a known brand, a blocklist entry, a Google Web Risk listing or buyer scam reports. What we measured here is a reason for care, not proof. Claims from web sources that we could not verify are listed below but do not count against it.
What we measured
- ✓On the public web since 2018 (Internet Archive)

What web sources say (not checked by us)
- No independent reviews, Trustpilot, BBB or ScamAdviser ratings were found in the sources. The only testimonials are first-name quotes on its own site.
- It is a very small operation: RocketReach lists 2 employees.
- The download is a .7z archive hosted on a third-party content server (content.app-sources.com), not a GitHub release. That makes it harder to confirm the file matches the public code.
- Contact details are only an email address and social links. No phone number or street address is given.
- The page has leftover shop elements ('Sold Out', a quantity selector) that sit oddly next to its claim of being free.
- Name confusion: at least four unrelated entities use 'SafeLedger'. These are safeledger.tech (crypto backup software), safeledger.ai (AI/marketing agency), safeledger.ae (Dubai business setup) and safe-ledger.org (crypto exchange). Confirm the exact domain.
- safe-ledger.org, a separate site, describes deposits credited by 'admin credit after review' and says withdrawals are 'reviewed before funds are sent'. It names no regulator or license in the sources and claims '180,000+ traders' with no evidence. These are common warning signs on crypto platforms, so be very cautious before depositing.
- Never enter seed phrases or private keys into any tool you have not verified. Building from the published GitHub source is safer than running a third-party-hosted download.
- Location details vary slightly between sources: the site says Tampa, Florida, and RocketReach says Brandon, Florida.
- A RegisterKaro blog post promoting safeledger.ae (a different business) lists testimonials with unfilled placeholders like '[Name of the Client] [Name of Company]'. This suggests template marketing rather than real reviews.
