Is this Marktplaats or Vinted seller trustworthy?
The platform can be trustworthy while the seller is not. Paste the link to a seller's profile page (open the ad, tap the seller's name, copy the address) and we read the objective signals from their public profile. Nothing is stored.
The three rules that beat any seller check
- Pay inside the platform (Marktplaats "Gelijk Oversteken", Vinted's checkout) or pick the item up in person. Anyone steering you to a direct bank transfer, Tikkie from a stranger, or an outside "payment link" is removing your protection on purpose.
- A price far below every comparable listing is the bait, not the bargain — check what the item actually goes for.
- Keep all contact inside the platform's chat. "App me" / "mail me" moves the conversation where moderators and fraud teams can't see it.
We read only the seller's public profile page, live, and store nothing. Signals are what the platform shows; a clean profile is never a guarantee.
