HasTrust (hastrust.com) is a free checker for online shopping: paste a shop, a product link or a suspicious message and it returns a 0–100 trust score with the evidence behind it — domain age, certificate and company-registry data, scam reports, review patterns and cited sources. It runs as a website and as a Chrome and Firefox extension, needs no account, and publishes its scam-domain blocklist and its statistics as open data (CC BY 4.0). It was built and is run by Brian Wijnandts in the Netherlands.

Numbers you can quote

The Fake Shop Report is published monthly. Each edition is frozen at publication, carries embeddable charts (SVG/PNG with attribution) and a JSON/Markdown twin. Latest edition: August 2026 (published 2026-09-06).

What HasTrust does not claim

• A low score is a set of signals, not a finding of fraud. Wording on every page reflects that; please keep it in quotes.
• Statistics describe shops that people chose to check (they already doubted them), not the open web.
• Personal identifiers found in scam messages are counted, never published.
