What we measured
Why this score?
The Kindle (2024) is a reliable, distraction-free e-reader that excels at its primary job of providing a portable, paper-like reading experience. While it lacks premium features like a warm light or waterproofing, it is a great choice for those seeking a basic, affordable device and should be even better value if purchased during a sale. However, if you want more versatility, need waterproofing for bath reading, or prefer not to deal with Amazon's locked-down ecosystem, you may want to consider competitors like Kobo.
