Mostly. HasTrust rates pergolux.fr Mixed (54/100), checked 2026-09-18: Logistics and freight delivery issues are common, including damaged or missing parts; The "aggressive" sales tactics and "permanent" promotions make it difficult to determine the true value of the product; Self-assembly is required and can be physically demanding and time-consuming.
What we measured
Why this score?
Pergolux is a legitimate direct-to-consumer brand, not a scam, but it is best suited for experienced DIYers who are prepared to handle logistics and assembly independently. While many customers are highly satisfied with the value and quality of the finished product, there is a consistent risk of shipping damage and slow, email-only support for complex issues. If you are comfortable managing the unboxing and potential replacement part process, the product offers significant cost savings over professional installation. Otherwise, those requiring a turnkey, reliable service may prefer hiring a local contractor for a professional install.
Video reviews
Pros
- Excellent value compared to professional, contractor-installed pergolas.
- Robust aluminum materials and modern design.
- Effective, clear assembly resources (videos and app).
- Strong customer satisfaction for those who receive complete, undamaged shipments.
Cons
- Logistics and freight delivery issues are common, including damaged or missing parts.
- The "aggressive" sales tactics and "permanent" promotions make it difficult to determine the true value of the product.
- Self-assembly is required and can be physically demanding and time-consuming.
- Customer support is limited to online channels (email/chat) and can be slow in resolving complex technical issues.
- Site listed as 'Suspicious' or 'Low Trust' by some automated security tools.
- The company's use of 'permanent' countdown sales is a common marketing tactic that can be misleading to shoppers.
Better options
Why switch: These are significantly cheaper if you are on a strict budget, though they typically feature thinner materials and less robust drainage/engineering compared to Pergolux.
If you prefer a turnkey, white-glove service with professional installation, engineering documentation, and local support, these systems are safer and more reliable, albeit much more expensive.
