Is apkpure.com legit?
Yes. HasTrust rates apkpure.com Trusted (82/100), checked 2026-09-19: Access to geo-restricted apps; Access to older versions of apps; Useful for devices without Google Play Services.
APKPure is a well-known, long-standing platform for downloading Android apps outside of official stores, but it carries inherent security risks. While it is not inherently malicious and provides useful access to geo-restricted or older apps, it has a history of distributing Trojanized software and frequently hosts misleading advertisements that can trick users into downloading unwanted files. Because it bypasses the rigorous security reviews of official stores, it should be used with extreme caution, ideally only by advanced users who employ their own antivirus protection and can verify file signatures. For most users, sticking to official sources like the Google Play Store is significantly safer.
