✓ Pluspunten
- Established US company, founded 2016 and a Y Combinator graduate, with about 500 employees listed on LinkedIn
- Shop items are fulfilled by Joy, with free shipping over $75 and a price match promise
- Clear written policies for damaged items (report within 30 days), defective items (90 days) and lost items (14 days)
- Joy Credit never expires, and Joy covers the difference if an item's price rises before it ships

⚠ Minpunten
- Refunds on returns and cancellations are generally issued as merchandise or store credit, not money back
- Return or exchange must be requested within 30 days of purchase for shipped items, with 'no exceptions'
- Shipping fees are non-refundable; restocking fees may apply, and personalized items are excluded
- Joy reserves the right to deny any return request case by case
- Trustpilot score is middling, and about 27% of reviews are 1-star, including complaints about support and booking errors
- Some reviewers say the registry is difficult for buyers outside the USA
- No product-specific reviews of this cast-iron item were found in the sources
- Refunds are mainly store credit, so your money stays locked into Joy's shop if you return the item
- A share of Trustpilot reviews report frustration reaching support and disputes over claims being rejected
Waarom overstappen: Buying the same cast-iron item from a large retailer typically offers card refunds rather than store credit. This is useful if you are not buying it as a registry gift.
