This variant, an upgrade of the original Sea Harrier, featured improved avionics, enhanced radar systems, and the capacity to carry a more advanced suite of weapons, including the Sea Eagle anti-ship missile. The Sea Harrier FA.2's unique vertical/short take-off and landing (V/STOL) capabilities made it indispensable for operations aboard aircraft carriers, especially when operating in confined spaces or from forward-deployed locations. In 2018, ZH796 continued to serve the Royal Navy as part of the ongoing operational fleet, though it was nearing the end of its service life. The aircraft was primarily used for fleet defense and anti-ship operations, patrolling key maritime routes, and conducting readiness drills for potential combat scenarios. The Sea Eagle missiles, mounted on ZH796, offered a potent capability for targeting enemy surface vessels, enhancing the effectiveness of British naval forces in both conventional and non-conventional conflict environments. The aircraft was often deployed on NATO exercises and was a vital part of the UK's ability to project naval power globally. Though ZH796 did not directly participate in combat operations in 2018, it remained a critical asset for training and operational readiness, especially in the context of evolving naval threats. It flew from the Royal Navy's remaining Invincible-class aircraft carriers, including HMS Illustrious and HMS Ark Royal, as the fleet transitioned toward newer aircraft like the F-35B Lightning II. Despite this, the Sea Harrier FA.2 had proven its worth in numerous conflicts, including the Falklands War and the Gulf War, and remained an enduring symbol of British naval aviation prowess even in its final years of service. This 1:72 scale model captures the power and versatility of one of the most important aircraft in the Royal Navy's history. Featuring detailed representation of the Sea Eagle missiles and high-quality craftsmanship, this replica is a must-have for aviation enthusiasts and co
